Service Fee Absorbed in Ticket Price
Service Fees/Service Charge can be either charged to the patron at time of purchase, or absorbed in the ticket price. Some charity events prefer to advertise one price, and that is what the customer will pay. Customers tend to shy away when they see even the smallest service fees, and may take the risk of purchasing at the door, or possibly driving across town to save on service fees, just to spend that extra time and gas it takes to get them. Advance sales are important to the event organizer, so we created the best way to account for an all in ticket price, keeping the ticket price separate to the taxes and service fees in the accounting reports upon reconciliation.
